## When Privatta is the better tool

When the rule is that the file does not go into anyone's cloud.

- Your contract, your regulator or your own policy says the file may not be stored by a third party.
- The recipient is outside your organisation and should get one file, not access to a folder.
- The file is large and you do not want it counting against anybody's storage.
- The two machines are on an office network with no internet connection.

## When Google Drive is the better tool

For shared, living documents, clearly.

- Several people editing the same document at the same time.
- Everyone involved already works in Google accounts.
- Access from any browser, on any device, with nothing installed.
- Files that should live somewhere central and stay there.

## What it costs

The free version of Privatta needs no account and no card. It covers transfers on your own network, up to ten a day, for personal use. Sending over the internet needs Privatta Pro: €19 a month for two seats and €10 for each extra seat — and the free version includes all of Pro for its first 14 days. Pro also brings user groups and virtual folders; Enterprise adds an access log that cannot be quietly edited.
