## When Privatta is the better tool

When the job is getting a file to someone, not keeping it somewhere.

- Files that must not be stored by a third party at all, encrypted or not.
- Handing over large files without paying for storage you only need for an afternoon.
- Transfers inside an office network with no internet connection.
- Per-file permissions for named people and, on Enterprise, an access log of every attempt that nobody can quietly edit.

02

## When Dropbox is the better tool

For most everyday storage, honestly.

- You want the same files on every device, all the time, with nothing to send.
- A team works in one shared folder that changes every day.
- You need version history and a way back after a mistake.
- Someone needs a file from a browser, with nothing installed.

03

## Using both

Plenty of teams keep Dropbox for everyday work and use Privatta for the files that are not allowed into it: the client's records, the contract under negotiation, the footage under embargo. The two do not get in each other's way.

04

## What it costs

The free version of Privatta needs no account and no card. It covers transfers on your own network, up to ten a day, for personal use. Sending over the internet needs Privatta Pro: €19 a month for two seats and €10 for each extra seat — and the free version includes all of Pro for its first 14 days. Pro also brings user groups and virtual folders; Enterprise adds an access log that cannot be quietly edited.
