# Big jobs, split between helpers.

Parts of a big request go to helpers with a clean slate: ten built-in roles, your own roles, a checker that sends weak work back, and a queue sized to your PC.

## Helpers (subagents), feature by feature

Each comes with a small drawing of how it works. They are diagrams, not screenshots; numbers in them are examples.

- ### Ten built-in roles

  Search, Research, Retrieval, Verify, Code review, Code, Document, Data, Operations and General, each with its own instructions and tools.

- ### Your own roles

  Any agent you make can be offered as a helper role.

- ### A clean slate, a short report

  A helper starts with an empty conversation, does its one piece and returns a short report. Pages of raw research stay out of yours.

- ### Facts checked, every time

  Every helper's report is checked against what it found before it comes back.

- ### A checker that sends work back

  When a helper that builds, writes or researches finishes, a separate checker opens its files, re-runs what it can and looks facts up again. Weak work goes back to be redone, a set number of times, and the best attempt is marked if it still falls short. On by default.

- ### Sized to your machine

  As many run at once as the engine can really handle; the rest wait in a queue, and one place is always kept for your own conversation.

- ### Limits you set

  How many per request, how long one may run, how long a job may wait. Helpers cannot hand work on to further helpers.
