Updates now come from the download host; 1.1 installs find this release on their own. Privatta sends a file straight from one computer to another, over your own network or the internet, without it passing through a cloud. 1.2 is mostly about the people who cannot — or would rather not — go through the usual sign-up path. It is on the [download page](https://royalsoftworks.com/download/#privatta) for Windows, installer or portable. ## Activation with no internet at all Some of the machines that most need a private file transfer tool are the ones that are never allowed online. 1.2 activates them with a licence file. On the sign-in screen, **No internet on this machine? Activate offline** shows a machine code; enter it on the website from any other device, download the file it gives you, and load it on the offline machine. The file is kept and checked at every launch, so the machine starts without waiting on a connection. If the machine does happen to go online, the file is renewed quietly. Setting the clock back to stretch it is refused. ## Fourteen days of Pro, inside the free version Every new installation now starts with fourteen days of everything Pro does — internet transfers included — and then carries on as the free version. There is no account to create, no card to enter and nothing to cancel, and nothing is sent anywhere: the trial is kept on the computer. The licence dialog shows how many days are left, and winding the clock back does not add any. If you then buy Pro, it is €19 a month for two seats, extra seats €10 each, and the first payment is refundable within 14 days. ## A guided tour First launch now opens a short tour that walks through the main screens of the app. **Help → Take the tour** brings it back. ## Fixed - A licence key for a different Royal SoftWorks product no longer unlocks Privatta Pro. Activation names the product, and a foreign key is refused online and from an offline licence file alike. - The free version no longer shows "does not exist" on the sign-in screen at every launch. - A licence with no plan on it is no longer treated as Pro. ## Updating Updates now come from the download host. Installed 1.1 copies still check the old address, which redirects there, so they find 1.2 without you doing anything.
