A chat can belong to a profession — law office, judiciary, hospital, clinic, HR, recruitment — with practice packs for four jurisdictions. Simple questions get a quick answer, a workflow can be described in plain words and built for you, and every outbound connection now passes one gate that an Offline mode can close. It is still a private beta: builds go to testers directly. AssistantGeneral is the assistant we build for offices whose documents are not allowed to leave the building: it runs the model on your own computers, answers from your own files, writes the reports and spreadsheets, and repeats the same jobs on a schedule. **2.0.0-beta.3** is the third build to go to our testers. It is still a private beta — there is no public download yet — and this is what is in it. ## A workspace for the job you do A chat can now belong to a profession: **law office, judiciary, hospital, clinic, HR or recruitment**. Each opens in a workspace built for that job — it names the thing you are working on (a matter, a case, a patient, a candidate), limits the chat to the document collections that belong to it, puts the everyday actions one click away, shows the evidence an answer used, and produces a document you can save out of the app. The limit on which documents a chat may read is enforced where the search happens, not just hidden in the interface. On top of a workspace sits a **practice pack**: the country the work is done in. A Serbian advocate files under the ZPP and a German one under the ZPO; a pack carries that difference as reference data — the authorities normally cited, the usual procedures with their deadlines, the documents people file, and checklists. Twenty-four ship (six professions × International, Serbia, Germany and the United States), and a deadline calculator works out every date in a procedure with plain arithmetic on your machine, never by asking the model. ## Quick answers for simple questions Every message used to go through the full machinery — planning, document search, a long list of tools, the answer checks — before the first word appeared. On the graphics card a small office actually owns, that made a plain factual question slow. Beta 3 gives a simple message one short model call. Anything that needs your documents, a file, the internet or a tool still goes to the full pipeline, and the chat shows it working. ## Describe a workflow; it builds it In the workflows dialog you can now describe a job in plain words — what starts it, what it reads, what it should produce — and the assistant assembles the workflow from the available steps, checks that it is valid, and repairs what does not fit, before handing it to you to edit or run. ## For organisations: governance you can check - **One gate under every outbound connection.** Model providers, connectors, downloads, the licence and update checks — all of it now passes one gate. Offline mode closes it to everything beyond your own network, or an administrator allows a short list of hosts. A blocked name is refused before it is even looked up, and every host that was reached is counted in a daily record on the machine. - **Employees see what their administrator did.** Running a tool on an employee's machine, pushing or pulling a file, changing their settings — each now shows up for the employee as a notification that survives restarts. The remote database query, which could read an employee's indexed documents without telling them, has been removed entirely. - **A policy that stays in force.** An employee's policy is stored on their machine and applied at every start, whether or not the admin server is reachable. There is also a read-only auditor role and per-connector and per-tool limits. The model runs on your own computer or on a machine in your office.
